My dad has been working with all the grandkids on how to collect and display stamps. They learned how to mount and remove stamps and how to handle them. Over Christmas break they all did some layouts to enter into the stamp show. My dad is involved in a stamp club here in Lincoln. He is using some of his dads stamps and finished out collections and doing new things on his own and thought he would involve the grand kids. So this last Sunday the kids got to put them on display. What made it extra special was that they won first place!
The winners!

Their favorite part was digging through these bins of stamps so they could put together another display

It is such a fun thing for the kids to do with their grandpa
They have been hard at work and taking advantage of the nice weather to get things done on the house. They poured a lot of concrete. In the garage, the front entrance and the back patio. One step closer to it looking like a real house. We also made some decisions on tile/quartz/and paint colors. They also started on the deck and putting up the post for it to be screened in.

The grey is the quartz for the kitchen. The white is the subway tile for the back splash and the little bar of grey is the grout color
some paint color choices with the fire place tile (the old wood tile)
We are going with galveston gray in the master and callans room (benjamin moore), Revere Pewter will be in the bathrooms and the laundry room (benjamin moore color) and then Pavestone gray throughout the rest of the house (Sherwin Williams)
We are trying to get in a few fun evenings with all our neighbors before we leave. We planned a little backyard grilling one unusally nice evening. We are going to miss our neighbors a lot when we move but we will just have to have them come visit often.
they love playing tag or nerf gun wars
callan and ava getting ready to eat dinner. the sun was already going down since it is February
We also got to hang out with a few of the Vlieger boys one evening because Kaci needed to take Kinley to the emergency room because she thought she broke her arm while rollerblading. So we took the boys and went to go eat at Freddy's. These boys are the sweetest. They were so polite at dinner.
February has already been a whirlwind and we are just a little bit over half way through. We have been busy with picking out things for the house, meeting with our designer, kids birthday parties, orthodontic appointments, putting our house on the market, selling our house, negotiating, amazing weather, swim lessons, school projects and basketball. We have been keeping busy and have cleaned more than ever in the last month. The kids are tired of hearing me say "pick that up, or put that away!" Thankfully we can relax now and not have to worry about any of that. Now we just need to focus on packing and getting everything ready for the move.

Time for another house update! We have siding and dry wall hung! It is starting to look like a house now! They will pour the patio soon, and start on the deck. all the plumbing, electrical and all home sound speaker boxes are in. We picked out our final quartz and granite and made a final decision on the floors. We only have a few more things to pick out before we are all done!
