Family Pictures
We got family pictures taken at the end of October and they turned out so cute. It was a gorgeous day to take pictures out at wilderness park. I hate to jinx it but I feel like the boys are getting a touch easier to get to smile and just take the pictures. Once again Curt Brinkmann did such a good job. Our family loves having him take our pictures. Here is a sampling of them.

Callan's first Husker Football game
Our friends the Vliegers were nice enough to give us two tickets to one of the Husker football games. Anytime we have a change to go to a game we try and take turns with each of the kids. It was Callan's turn to go to a football game since he had never been. The only bad part was that it was suppose to be really cold and it was a late game. When we told Callan that morning he was ecstatic! He didn't care that it would be cold he just wanted to go. Of course he and Chad and a great time and the game was a good one. Callan did have a short time where he got really quiet and said his tummy hurt and Chad started to get concerned that they were going to have to leave, but it went away pretty fast and he quickly enjoyed the game. He loved having pizza and cotton candy with dad.
and they are off!

Halloween night
A trip down memory lane
We had a little too much Halloween this year. By Halloween night we were already kind of maxed out on candy and getting to all the places we wanted to be. I worked on Halloween so once I got home we were in a mad dash to get everywhere. My mom took the kids to Savannah Pines after school to see my grandparents and play some games and then they did a super quick stop at my parents house to trick or treat to a few of their neighbors who know the kids. One house gives out full size candy bars and has awesome decorations so the kids never want to miss it. We then rushed home and shoved a few bites of food in their mouths and we were off to trick or treat with the neighbors. Unfortunately it was a school night so the kids needed to be back at a decent time to shower and get to bed. We had great weather and much more independent kids so we enjoyed chatting with the adults. I don't have any pictures from Savannah Pines or my parents house since we were so rushed.

Pumpkin Carving
We kind of waited till the last minute to carve pumpkins. We bought the pumpkins early, too early in fact. We had them sitting on the floor and one of them started to rot and leak. Needless to say when we decided to carve we were one pumpkin short. But the kids did a good job of sharing and helping each other. They all wanted to do their own design instead of following a pattern. Callan enjoyed pulling out all the guts and the other two perfected their cutting skills.

Visiting Oma
After all the trick or treating we stopped by great grandma jewels house and Oma's for a Halloween visit. They both enjoyed seeing the kids in their costumes. We met up with Brian's family at Oma's and decided to go out to eat with her at Village Inn. The kids had some nice cousin time eating at the kids end of the table at the restaurant.

South Pointe Trick or Treating
We met up with our neighbors for a quick trick or treat around the outdoor mall. The weather was amazing. We just try and get some use out of the costumes and find the free things around town close to Halloween. My scary clown, gorilla and panda.
