2nd grade Talent show

We got a letter sent home from school letting us know about the second grade talent show. Every kid could participate and they could have one partner if they wanted.  Carter really wanted to show people how he can roller blade.  Even though he has worked hard at his roller blades we tried to explain to him that he need to have a routine or tricks or something, and that there probably wasn't enough space for that.  Plus he didn't really have much to show.  So after much convincing he agreed to do his piano recital pieces. He was in the afternoon group (there was a morning group that went for 2 hours as well).  The whole thing was adorable. I loved seeing all the kids get up and show their talents and that all the kids were supportive of each other.  The teachers went to a lot of work to put it together. I really enjoyed it.  Carter did a great job and it was great practice for his recital that Sunday.  I got a lot of compliments from other parents and teachers on how well Carter played.  I made sure to tell him that since piano isn't his favorite thing to do. When he was done playing he went and say down and all his friends gave him high 5's.

after each kid was done they had a little girl who was the "MC" who would ask them questions.  She asked Carter how he learned to play and what his teachers name was.
