This New Year's Eve we planned a little get together with the Vlieger family again. We had done it two years ago and the kids had a blast so we planned it again. It was an evening full of appetizers and snacks, nerf gun wars, air hockey, foos ball tournament, arcade challenges, WiiU games, and several countdowns with sparkling cider. Carter made up a foosball tournament in which him and Brandt were in the finals and Brant won. We all enjoyed playing air hockey and Kaci tried to hone her skills at Ms.Pacman. I made creme brulee for the adults for dessert and a candy bar for the kids. The adults enjoyed some of the candy as well. We found several countdowns on Netflix, so around 10:40 we did a few of those with the kids, complete with toasts. Then around 11 we did the official New York ball drop countdown. Then we cleaned up and the Vliegers headed home. Our boys brushed teeth and complained their tummy's hurt (from all the sugar I am sure), but they fell asleep fast and the next morning said it was the best night ever.
